For many years, outstanding athletes and sports contributors have brought lasting fame and recognition to Pima County. Believing that the memory of their names and accomplishments should live on, the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame was founded in April 1989.
The organization was established to honor the many men and women who have brought distinction to and have had a positive impact on sports in Pima County.
Honorees have participated in Pima County high school, community college, university, and professional athletics or have contributed significantly in a capacity such as coach, sports official, promotional, or other related roles.
The Pima County Sports Hall of Fame is a private, not-for-profit corporation with IRS 501(c)(3) status.
The Pima County Sports Hall of Fame Museum is dedicated to all those individuals who have given their love, energy, time, and resources to the advancement of sports in Pima County
