Dave Silver

Dave Silver, KGUN-9 TV sports announcer, has helped in the promotion of youth sports by covering events and featuring athletes involved in Tucson-area sports for more than 15 years. He has covered everything from three Final Four’s, the Fiesta Bowl, five NCAA softball championships, Super Bowl XXX, golf tournaments (PGA and LPGA), bowling, and high school and youth sports.

Dave was named Tucson’s Best Sportscaster by Tucson Weekly and KTUC Radio. He has received the Associated Press Award as part of Arizona’s Best Newscast. Dave played Little League Baseball (1967-74), including All-Stars Little League, All-Stars Pony League and high school basketball (1975-76).

He continues to play golf, basketball, tennis and softball. He also has coached both Youth Basketball and Little League.
