Bob Hart
Inducted Class of 1994
A 1950 graduate of Amphitheater High School, Bob Hart played basketball and baseball and was an All State and Honorable Mention All American football player. He still holds the school track record (19.7 time) in the 180 low hurdles. Bob continued his devotion to sports at Eastern Arizona Jr. College, where he won 2nd place (high & low hurdles) in the 1951 National JC Track Meet, and at the University of Arizona, where he lettered two years in football, baseball, and track, and later coached freshman baseball for a year.
He was football, basketball and track coach at Prince Elementary School for four years; was Assistant Varsity Football Coach (15 years) and Head Varsity Baseball coach (19 years) at Amphi. Bob tallied up 25 years as a high school basketball official; 20 years officiating Junior College Basketball; and 10 years as an official with the Border Conference, WAC and Big Sky basketball. He played pro baseball for the Tucson Cowboys and two years with the Tucson Cowboys and Rattlers football teams. He also coached non-pro baseball for 20 years, racking up eight district and two state championships.
Bob is a 1979 player/coach inductee to the Southern Arizona Softball Hall of Fame.
