Marvin Borodkin

A retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, pilot and attorney, Marvin Borodkin gained many athletic achievements. From 1939 through 1985, he won various tennis singles and doubles championships.
Playing basketball at the University of Arizona, he won All-Border Conference Selection (Second Team) Guard (1942-43. 1945-47). He was a member of the UofA Border Conference Basketball Championship Team (1942-43), 1945-47) and as a Captain of the team, selected to participate in National Invitation Tournament (NIT) at Madison Square Garden (1945-46). He was an assistant Coach to Fred Enke in 1947-48 for the UofA Varsity Basketball team, and was selected Arizona Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary All State Team Award recipient in 1971.
While in the Air Force, he played and coached many military championship basketball teams, including the USAF All-Star Basketball Team (1949-50), as well as being named USAF McChord AFB Handball Champion in 1955.
